Information we collect

We receive information directly from you, through your use of the service, from Google if you choose Google sign-in, and from organizations that invite you to a study or workspace. Please avoid including sensitive personal information that a study does not ask for, or information about other people without their permission.

How we use information

We use information to create and maintain accounts, manage access to studies and workspaces, match participants with relevant research, conduct studies, and prepare findings and reports for the organization commissioning the research. We also use it to respond to inquiries, send account and study communications, support participants, investigate interrupted interviews or other technical problems, and protect the service against misuse.

Research features use artificial intelligence, including an AI interviewer. Study content, such as speech, answers and selected images or annotations, is processed by AI and speech services to conduct interviews, produce transcripts and assist with research analysis.

Information received through Google sign-in is used to identify you, maintain your ARFI account, manage your access and communicate with you about that account or your studies. It is stored with your account and processed by the providers supporting account authentication and hosting. Authorized ARFI staff may access it for account administration and support. You can use email sign-in instead of Google.

Who receives information

Authorized ARFI team members can review study information, including transcripts and recordings, to operate the research and provide support. The organization commissioning a study receives research results, which can include responses, quotations, annotations and transcripts. Account contact details are not included in the brand's research report. Information you choose to share during a study may nevertheless identify you.

We use service providers for hosting, data storage, account authentication, communications, live interviews, speech processing and AI-assisted research. These providers process the information needed to supply those services. We may also disclose information where required by law or to investigate fraud, misuse or security incidents. We do not sell your contact details.

If an organization independently collects information from you or provides a website used in a study, its own privacy practices may also apply. Contact that organization for information about its independent use of your information.

Storage and retention

We restrict access to accounts and research information and use protected storage for interview recordings. ARFI and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live, including the United States.

Account information, sign-up details and study records remain available for account administration, research and support. We currently retain interview recordings without a fixed deletion date. Ending an interview, signing out or clearing your browser does not delete information already stored by ARFI. You can contact us to request deletion; requests are reviewed in light of applicable law and any records we are required to retain.

Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, maintain interview sessions, remember preferences, save drafts and support interrupted uploads. You can manage or clear them through your browser settings, although doing so may affect these features. We do not use advertising cookies on the ARFI marketing site. We do not change our collection practices in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

Your choices and rights

Participation is voluntary. You may stop an interview by leaving the study. If you do not agree to the recording described before an interview, do not start it. Stopping does not automatically remove information collected earlier.

Email team@joinarfi.com to ask about information we hold about you, request access or correction, request deletion, or stop receiving research invitations or promotional messages. We may need to verify your identity. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, receive a portable copy of your information, or complain to a relevant privacy authority. We review requests under the laws that apply to them.

Children

ARFI research participation is intended for adults aged 18 or older. If you believe a child has provided information, contact team@joinarfi.com.

Changes and contact

We update this policy when our information practices change and show the revised date above. Where required, we provide additional notice or request your agreement before a new use of your information.
